Drugged and Disordered
Project Overview:
For our drugged and disordered project, me and my group brought an interactive light up board about LSD to our exhibition. Everyone brought a set of skills that they brought to the table, and looking back I am proud of not only myself but my other team members as well. To create the actual board many different roles went into the research, the design, the laser cutter, the wiring process, and the assembly. My specific role during this project was to research what would go on the broad (such as the areas of the brain that are affected when someone takes LSD) as well as running back and forth from the laser cutter making sure our wooden panels were formatted correctly. I also contributed to the creative deign of the box which held the buttons and the actual board. I also designed the "trippin takeaway" cards which were created to be an interactive piece where students would write down someone new they learned and pin the cards to a cork board. I vinyl pressed T shirts to create our "lets talk about trippin" T shirts. Overall I'm most proud of everyone's effort and eagerness to make our exhibition a great one. Everyday we made sure we created products that were professional and fun for the students we would be presenting to. If I had to redo this project I would be more conscious of the time frame we had to complete the board since at the last minute we were struggling to finish sauntering the light wires on the back of the board. However, we pushed through and the result was a fun exhibition where our audience was laughing and learning.
